Stroll the
grounds, enjoy quiet spots within the gardens
and delight in the abundance of bird life from
kookaburras to blue wrens and daily fly-bys of a
pair of sea eagles which live further down the
river. At night wallabies feed on our lawns with
possums, owls and bandicoots also making a show.
In summer a resident echidna can be found
waddling through the grounds. Understandably
such delightful permanent residents bring their
own ideas to garden
design!
The garden
has some wonderful specimens of mature native
trees, camellias, rhododendrons, flowering
apples and cherries and roses. Additional
plantings of callistemons, camellias, roses and
magnolias have added a further dimension to the
outdoor rooms. An orchard of mature trees
providing, in season, a variety of apples and
pears, native plums, lemons, peaches and
nectarines, which together with new plantings of
other citrus and apricots can provide a tasty
addition to your day.
An outdoor
solar-heated 10 metre x 6 metre pool is
available for guests to enjoy in late spring to
early autumn . A full size tennis court adds an
extra outside challenge for stretching those
resting muscles just a little. These options,
together with the ample opportunities for
walking, the lawn activities of bocce, quoits
and croquet, together with the inside small gym,
provide opportunities which allow you to choose
your own level and style of relaxation.
