River House Platters 

Staying at The River House offers you many relaxing moments to savour. We can add to this by organising a gourmet platter of Tasmanian produce for you, for the times you don't wish to make the short trip into Lonnie for a meal. A delicious platter, accompanied by a sensational bottle of  Tamar Valley wine and finishing with some of Helen's complimentary baked treats, what better way to rest, relax, regenerate!

To allow platters to be as fresh as possible, they need to be ordered with a little notice; this can be any time before  completion of breakfast on the day required - 10:00 am on the day is the latest we can arrange these for you. The platters provide generous serves for two people and aim to satisfy a healthy appetite.

Cold Meat Platter consisting of a selection of delicious meats from the award winning Black Forest Smallgoods in Launceston. You will be tempted by at least three selections from Wallaby salami, roast pork, Swiss meatloaf, smoked chicken and turkey roll;  accompanied by antipasto, wholesome bread, Helen's tomato relish and a generous garden salad. Platters can be served in your room, on the deck, in the garden or the guest lounge.       
Price: $38.00 for two people.

Tasmanian Cheese Platter which provides three Tassie cheeses, hard, soft and Blue, crackers, antipasto, nuts, dried fruit and wholesome bread to satisfy your taste buds.
Price:  $34.00 for two people, and can be served as for the meat platter.

Tamar Valley Wines and Tasmanian Beers
We have a selection of Tamar Valley wines by the bottle for sale at prices equivalent to cellar door or better. We have in stock Reisling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Sparkling and are very happy to source a special drop for you with advance notice.
We can also offer you Tasmanian beers.
